A percussive trumpeter and seductive vocalist, Baltimore-born Ronald Baker combines a sense of showmanship with instrumental excellence. A lover of the blues and a disciple of the Freddie Hubbard-Lee Morgan school, he has won over audiences in Montreal, Montreux and Marciac, and is now one of the most sought-after trumpeters on the French scene.
Ronald Baker trained at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music (Ohio) with Jon Faddis, J-J Johnson and Donald Byrd, and was commissioned to write film scores for Alain Corneau and Woody Allen. He is a unique performer and leader!
