Exposition “LOVE” à la Chapelle des Elus

In 2022, the "Coin du miroir" association, which manages the Consortium Museum, celebrates its 45th anniversary. In order to highlight the theme of contemporary art in the city, the Tourist Office is hosting a work by the Consortium Museum.

Gimhongsok is a South Korean artist known for his hyper-realistic and humorous translations of one material into another. Straddling the line between appropriation and plagiarism, Gimhongsok challenges the notion of authenticity in artworks and asks fundamental questions about what constitutes art - materials, processes or forms.

His work is included in many prestigious institutions, including the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, the Contemporary Art Museum, Kumamoto, the National Gallery of Canada, the Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art, Le Consortium, the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea, and the Seoul Museum of Art.

Gimhongsok's LOVE is a diversion from Indiana's LOVE on display in New York. It is quite rare for the Tourist Office to host works by an internationally recognised artist.
