La mémoire de l’eau

In 2001, Nathalie Pernette, dancer and choreographer, created her company. Since then, she has taken paths that often lead her works to unusual places; in this case, the Chenôve municipal swimming pool.
La mémoire de l'eau is a piece conceived as a choreographic reverie, performed at nightfall. It attempts to bring to the surface - that of our imaginations among others - a set of impressions, sensations, movements attached to our intimate and millenary link to water, its sensual and welcoming part, but also fantastic, melancholic, furious or playful.
The aquatic variations proposed will take on different colours in turn: that of the pond, dark and melancholic, pensive, slow, calm; that of the soft, feminine, caressing water, sensual and pure too; and finally the joyful water that becomes music, disturbed by ricochets, murmur or din.
In short, this piece is a journey that takes performers and spectators from the edge of a pool to the depths of the Abyss, where perhaps you will see ondines, nymphs or mermaids?
