Église Notre-Dame de Talant

The 13th-century Gothic church houses the Taizé organ, as well as numerous statues and splendid stained-glass windows designed by Gérard Garouste.
The Talant organ:
Built in 1958 for the Taizé church, the organ housed in Notre Dame church was purchased in 1974 by the town of Talant. It was entrusted to Metzier (Switzerland) in 1996, who gave it its current appearance and sound.
The stained glass windows :
The project to add stained glass windows to Notre-Dame de Talant was drawn up in the early 1980s. This church is one of the few in France to have been entirely fitted with figurative stained glass windows. Set in the heart of Gothic architecture, Gérard Garouste's style stands out and adds another dimension to this place of worship dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Resolutely figurative, Gérard Garouste's work pays tribute to the women who left their mark on the Bible.
