At a time when spring is smiling, the programme we have chosen to perform is a mixture of sacred and contemplative songs. The love of nature, the sound of the forest, the calm sway of a lullaby... These colourful atmospheres will transport us to a peaceful world.
The vocal ensembles Fédachor and Viva Voc'elles, directed by Joëlle Sarrazin, will be accompanied on the organ by Yann Labanvoye.
The works sung are, for the most part, by contemporary composers known for their passion for choral singing. They are English (John Rutter and Philip WJ Stopford), Estonian (Pärt Uusberg and Veljo Tormis), Norwegian (Ola Geilo), German from Liechtenstein (Josef Rheinberger), Basque (Josu Elberdin), French (Gabriel Fauré) and American (Rosephanye Powell). With their own particular style, they praise the beauty of nature through poetic texts and inspire us with their faith through sacred texts.
