Princess Czardas is set at the beginning of the 20th century in Budapest and Vienna.
Prince Edwin of Liebensdorf is in love with Sylva Maresco, a beautiful and seductive music-hall singer, nicknamed Princess Czardas, who is the talk of Budapest. To put an end to her romance with the Prince, Sylva Maresco has decided to embark on a tour of the Americas.
