Les Quatre Saisons

In this new creation, the choreographer's refined universe meets the virtuosity of Vivaldi's Four Seasons.

Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker and Radouan Mriziga wanted to turn Vivaldi's most canonical work into a privileged terrain for dance, at a time when the seasons are disappearing, when the destruction of environments, the loss of biodiversity and global warming are upsetting our relationship with nature. The choreography here recaptures the deep emotion of Vivaldi's music, performed in the superb version by Amandine Beyer and the Gli Incogniti ensemble. A choreographic work that pays homage to this score which, through the acuity of its listening and the strength of its mimetic interplay, could well sum up the entire dream harmony between man and his environment.
