L’évidence

It's in the slowness of the combinations that a picture is created.
I work by analogy, by links, using cutting and collage to create radical constructions.
Elements of reality transformed, abused, disembodied, to be reborn by extraction, by a change of scale, in a new context.
These multiple possibilities and combinations make for suggestive encounters. We see archaic forms, images of memory, things we perceive or think we perceive, reminiscences, in gradations that spatialise or in flat tints that deafen.
Memory is selective. I keep the form or gesture that sticks in my mind, the one that persists. A memory of reality whose singularity is preserved.
It's a way of getting closer to a certain idea of sincerity.
