Long absent from accounts of Paleolithic man, are there any clues in the archaeological remains that might tell us more about the place and role of women in prehistory? Did they also paint Lascaux, hunt bison, carve tools, invent techniques...?
For these Reading Nights on the theme of heritage - and matrimoine! -Marylène Patou-Mathis, prehistorian and Emeritus Director of Research at the CNRS, will explain how visions and then knowledge about women in prehistory came about.
See you on Thursday 23 January, 6.30pm at Le Cortex University Library!
There will be a book-signing session afterwards. Some of Marylène Patou-Mathis's books will be available for sale. Payment by cheque or cash only.
