Joniece Jamisonet la Chorale Albasso

All the magic of Negros Spirituals and Gospels!

Joniece JAMISON is undoubtedly one of the finest interpreters of this magical repertoire. It has to be said that she has been singing spirituals since she was a child. From the age of five, she began singing in choirs in Washington, so this repertoire is something she lives and feels in a way that only black Americans can do. She is the spiritual sister of Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner and Mahalia Jackson. Spiritual is the right word, because her concerts are acts of faith, a deep faith that allows her to transcend herself and leave her listeners either on the verge of tears or in a frenzy that will have them dancing and singing with her around the church. One thing is certain: you'll remember this concert for a long time to come. She returns to the repertoire she has never really stopped singing. After an international career that has seen her collaborate with some of the world's greatest artists, from the Eurythmics and Elton John to Johnny Hallyday, Goldman and Balavoine, not forgetting her famous duet with François Feldman, "Joue pas", which topped the Top 50 for almost a year, and her tours with the "Star 80" show, she is back in the spotlight.

This concert is the culmination of a magnificent piece of work by over 30 members of the Albasso choir. After a lot of hard work and rehearsal, we've come to present you with the fruit of this collaboration, where emotion will obviously be the key word. See you at Ste Chantal for a moment of eternity...
