Following the magnificent performance by the Ludwig Quartet, Scène Fontainoise, in partnership with the town of Fontaine-lès-Dijon, invites you to a new chamber music concert: Thursday 13 February 2024 at 8pm at the CAPJ...The piano, violin and cello trio "Les Prénoms" in a romantic programme.
Marion André, piano - Pierre-Yves Denis, violin - Pierre Charles, cello...The three of them, equally at ease with Baroque, Classical and Romantic aesthetics, offer you a programme based on the three great trios by Brahms, Dvorak and Rachmaninov:
- Piano Trio No. 1 in B major, Op. 8 by Johannes Brahms (1854-1891): a work in 4 movements full of passion and lyricism, where the dialogue between the instruments reveals the depth of the composer's soul.
- the Elegiac Trio No. 1 by Sergei Rachmaninov (1892): an early piece evoking poignant melancholy, combining nostalgic themes with dramatic intensity, imbued with an intense emotional charge typical of the post-Romantic composer.
Trio No. 4 "Dumky", Op. 90 by Antonín Dvorák (1891): famous for its structure in 6 contrasting movements, combines joyous passages with moments of profound reflection, reflecting the composer's folkloric spirit and emotional richness.
This concert promises a captivating and emotionally rich musical experience of Romantic music.
