Exposition “Par là”

Alice Bidault graduated from Ensad (Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Art de Dijon) in 2016 and now lives in the commune of Poil in the Morvan. She carries out archaeological digs and takes into account elements that are absent, or lacking context, to conjure up fictions, as with the unelucidated quipus of the Quechua language: the meaning of these Inca cords is fragmentary. In this way, Alice Bidault uses empty spaces to recreate imaginary narratives. Alice Bidault's work is first and foremost a language of materials, a tension between natural, organic elements taken from her living environment and old objects or materials gleaned from the past, which find a new lease of life in sculpture.

At the same time, a second body of work will be on show at the Pietro Spartà gallery in Chagny, in an exhibition entitled "Par ici".
