Église Notre-Dame de Talant

The 13th century Gothic church houses the Taizé organ, as well as numerous statues and splendid stained glass windows designed by Gérard Garouste.
The organ of Talant :
Built in 1958 for the church of Taizé, the organ housed within the church of Notre Dame was purchased in 1974 by the city of Talant. Entrusted in 1996 to the Metzier company (Switzerland), it is this company that gives it its current appearance and sound
The stained glass windows
It was in the early 1980s that the project to give stained glass windows to Notre-Dame de Talant was developed. This church is one of the only ones in France to be entirely endowed with figurative stained glass windows. Placed in the heart of a gothic architecture, Gérard Garouste's style stands out and gives another dimension to this place of worship dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Resolutely figurative, Gérard Davoustre's work pays homage to the women who have marked the Bible.
