It was the birth of fashion, through a specialised press and the development of commerce, the diffusion of models through images and accessories, which constantly renewed references. Silks, embroideries, satins and taffetas are displayed in the works and costumes before a return to intimacy and simplicity at the end of the century.
This exhibition is conceived in exceptional collaboration with the Palais Galliera, Musée de la Mode de la Ville de Paris, Paris Musées. Co-produced with the Musée d'arts de Nantes.
