Agent Frédérique Q.U.E. "When I grow up, I absolutely have to remember what it was like when I was little!" promise made on 13 June 1984.
À nos adultes is a show of sound, movement and musical investigation, orchestrated by children's words. It features FrédériQUE, a little girl in the 80s, David, a sound designer and musician, and a marionette-ampadary-loudspeaker who is at once a friend from a dance party, a dance teacher, an uncle and a colleague.
Set against a backdrop of Rubik's cubes, walkman, kiki and corded telephone, Frédérique Charpentier and David Lesser play with the relationship between music and acting, bringing to the stage a child's vision of the world of grown-ups, adults who are sometimes (too) serious, often (very) busy, who "tell you later, later, later, but later, they're still busy", and who we recognise are also in charge of everyday life, leaving childhood time for friends.
Here, two worlds observe, reflect and combine in a captivating object of intergenerational dialogue.
