Aftrwrk session #2

Alpha Steppa (FR)
Alpha Steppa, head of the Steppas Records label, is one of the members of the "Dub Dynasty" collective, the fruit of collaboration with his father and aunt (Alpha & Omega). Ben Alpha aka Alpha Steppa grew up surrounded by dubplates and sound system culture. Now an acclaimed
producer, he links the music that marked his childhood to the new generation of Bass Music to which he belongs.

Ashkabad (FR)
Sometimes stepper dub, sometimes trap or downtempo, even flirting with techno or trance, Ashkabad takes sound system fans and electro aficionados on a hot musical journey. On stage, you'll be joined by a machinist with a passion for frenzied rhythms and a singer with melodies as furious as they are polished. One thing's for sure: their boundless energy will have even the most reluctant fans jumping for joy!

Dub Engine (IT)
Dub Engine is a live and studio project created in 2009 by musicians Tux (dubmaster, fx) and Sabry (vocals, synth) from Bologna (ITA). Ruff bass, acid synths, infinite delays and tons of wobbles are the hallmarks of Dub Engine, an integral part of this new generation of dubbers coloured by various musical genres: from roots-reggae to its electronic descendants like stepper, jungle and dubstep.
Deeply influenced by the new era of UK and French Dub, they have begun to evolve into a new psycho-steppa style, a new and original musical expression in Dub where vocals, effects and basslines explode into an intense, high-impact psychedelic sound.

Bakû (FR)
Bakû weaves its universe between two realities. Sailing between dreams and nightmares, the artist-producer fashions a world that's very much like her: deep, ethereal, dark and on the edge of genres. She creates eclectic, richly textured electronic compositions imbued with multiple influences. Often plunging into a heavy, heavy, dark and dystopian atmosphere, her productions oscillate between dub, techno, drum and bass, hip-hop and ambient. Known for creating surprises, she juggles styles to deliver dynamic live sets that are unique to each appearance.

Selectress Gwen (FR)
An artist and vinyl collector who's been lulled by Jamaican vibes since childhood, Gwen has developed a style inspired by both contemporary and older forms of music. Her style is inspired by both contemporary and older forms of music, taking you on a journey through the different variants of reggae and other similar styles, from rocksteady to bass music.
