The Labopéra Bourgogne is very pleased to present Georges Bizet's famous opera CARMEN.
Come and discover or rediscover this tragic story where love and its ravages are born and die under the sky of Seville and its ferias.
This young gypsy girl, in her sparkling and fatal dress, captivates the crowds who fall under her spell.
Carmen, predator and victim, gypsy and barefoot princess, is above all a free woman, a modern woman.
On stage, more than 200 artists (soloists from the great opera houses, chorus members, musicians, dancers and extras), led by conductor Maxime Pitois and directed by Ismaël Gutiérrez.
A cooperative epic mobilising all the forces of the territory. A show not to be missed!
What is Le Labopéra Bourgogne?
It is the new local branch of La Fabrique Opéra Nationale, a new concept, driven by the desire to open the doors of opera to all.
A real human adventure, our unique concept creates a meeting between professional artists used to national and international stages, and young people from technical and professional training.
More than 400 young people, supervised by their teachers and the artistic and technical teams of Labopéra Bourgogne, bring their talent, creativity and know-how to design and create costumes, sets, hairstyles and make-up, or to practise welcoming the public, management and administration, communication, etc., making them players in a large-scale regional project through their skills.
