In a show in four movements, the dancers of the Ballet national de Marseille bring to life the creations of Tânia Carvalho, Lucinda Childs, Oona Doherty and Lasseindra Ninja... like so many possible languages.
Returning to Dijon after the success of Age of Content, the dancers of the Ballet national de Marseille perform pieces by four choreographers in a magnificently composed programme. Here, Tânia Carvalho explores the repetitive nature of gesture and the affinity between dance and line, while Lucinda Childs shines with the rigour of her style and her sense of rhythm. Here, Oona Doherty breaks new ground in an urban proposal that translates the theatre of social bodies into realistic terms, while Lasseindra Ninja claims the plastic power of voguing. Several generations of artists, all committed to their craft, and with different but complementary conceptions of dance, come together to celebrate their art.
