Le Bal... the magic word, the joy of celebration, embracing couples and wild dancefloors. When the body abandons itself to the movements of the music, when the music lets itself be carried away by the rhythm of the bodies, life overflows. Folk dances, waltzes, swaying lullabies, csardas, tangos... sometimes frank and lively, sometimes more interior, a simple evocation or a haunting memory, the dance wanders like a red thread from music to music, filling the air with a sweet, heady perfume.
Throughout the concert, the singer has fun rediscovering this fragrance of dance, sometimes with the most unexpected musicians, the clarinet offers her other escapes, and the accordion, sometimes soloist, sometimes listening to the song, gives the programme its popular, nostalgic flavour.
