Come and see the presentation of the Espace Naturel Sensible des pelouses et combes de la vallée de l'Ouche at a conference given by the Ligue pour la Protection des Oiseaux de Bourgogne-Franche-Comté!
The limestone grasslands of Burgundy are natural environments rich in biodiversity, home to remarkable flora and fauna. These open spaces, shaped by grazing and careful maintenance, are home to many rare species adapted to dry, sunny soils. Among the flora are the purple orchid, the aster amelle and the ciliated gentian, emblematic of these environments. The fauna is not to be outdone, with butterflies such as the wild blue butterfly, reptiles such as the green lizard, and the nightjar, a discreet bird typical of dry grasslands.
