Over the past 19 years, D'Jazz à la Plage has become a key event in Dijon's summer cultural life. The principle: musical Fridays in August in a magnificent setting, facing the main beach of Lake Kir.
It's also an opportunity to showcase some of the cousins of jazz.
FRANK BILLY BO
Friday 4 August - 7pm to 8.30pm
The trio was formed in 2020 around a shared passion for the music of the American South. They draw their inspiration mainly from the pioneers of Delta Blues like Son House and Bukka White, but also from Folk like Leadbelly and Woody Guthrie.
DAMIEN GROLEAU / FAYÇAL SAHLI DUO
Friday 11 August - 7pm to 8.30pm
Fayçal Salhi, influenced by Oriental music, and Damien Groleau, by American jazz, have each forged their own unique paths. For this project, they take us on a journey into faraway lands marked out by their many experiences.
LES MANCHES À CORDES
Friday 18 August - 7pm to 8.30pm
This gypsy jazz trio stands out for its skilful recycling of musical material, tinkering and tinkering with essential melodies from all over the world.
