Having already captivated audiences in Dijon with Bryce Dessner's El Chan
by Bryce Dessner in June 2022, Katia and Marielle Labèque are back with the Dream House Quartet, a group unique in the sonic alchemy it fashions at the confluence of musical cultures.
Since 2018, the Dream House Quartet has embarked on an approach of unique originality and fertility in the contemporary landscape, combining its mastery of the classical heritage with a bold exploration of the most diverse paths of today's music. Katia and Marielle Labèque have a special relationship with Bryce Dessner, and have recorded his work for two pianos. Founder of the rock band The National, Dessner is a symbol of a culture of sound exploration. As a guitarist-composer, he has found an alter ego in David Chalmin, a formidable arranger, whose talent found full expression in 2019 with the album 'La Terre invisible'. Ready for any experimentation, mixing acoustic virtuosity and electronic sounds, these four musicians are the bearers of a creativity that does not shy away from references, but remains as unclassifiable as it is immediately seductive.
