Exposition de tableaux

Jean-Philippe Berger, artist and gallery owner for 17 years, will be presenting some thirty works in this solo exhibition.

His paintings are the privileged terrain of a free artistic approach, exploring multiple possibilities: techniques and diverse cultural references combine to create an imaginary world.

He experiments with mixed techniques using acrylic and/or aerosol paints, often with collages (torn posters). His work is also richly themed: urban scenes, famous people, superheroes, animals, but also many paintings linked to revolution, freedom...

His aim is to take these images out of their original context and construct a new composition that allows the viewer to enter the picture and forge their own story based on their own sensibility and imagination...

Over the years, his work has tended more and more towards abstraction. The figurative elements that appear in the painting are the starting point for an abstract composition in which the balance of shapes and colours is at the heart of his research.

Visitors to the exhibition will have the opportunity to discover some thirty works produced in recent years, and to see the evolution of the artist's work.
