The Maewan exhibition takes a fresh look at our planet through a series of 24 photographs taken during the first round-the-world expedition of the sailing boat Maewan IV. From breathtaking landscapes to unforgettable encounters, from the richness of the ecosystems observed to a few moments frozen in the extreme quests of the sportsmen and women, the exhibition takes us on a human odyssey for sustainable development. Each theme is explored to help us better understand our environment and the human impact on living things: water, health, biodiversity, food, energy, the environment, climate and waste.
Putting people back at the heart of their environment.
Created in 2019 by Erwan Le Lann and Marion Courtois, the Maewan association aims to educate and raise awareness of sustainable development issues, based on sporting expeditions at sea and in the mountains. Drawing on the lessons and encounters of an initial seven-year round-the-world voyage to discover distant lands and civilisations, it is now developing its action programmes in France and abroad to build a world in which respect for the Earth is the basis for growth for current and future generations.
