EXTRA FESTIVAL : BACCHANTES / JULIÁN MAYORGA

BACCHANTES - BAROQUE ROCK | FRANCE
There are four of them, they play rock, they've put together a singular instrumentarium between acoustic and electric (guitar, drums, keyboards and Indian harmonium) and their pieces are based on ancient poetry. These playful musicians dare to mix the tribal with the melodic, the end of the world with renewal, death with rebirth. Bacchantes is a timeless proposition, close your textbooks, the answers are on stage, lights on and cups full.

JULIÁN MOYARGA - CUMBIA POP PSYCHE | COLOMBIA/SPAIN
When he has a fever, this Colombian living in Madrid "sees the head of a magnificent leopard". At least, that's what Julián Mayorga says in his slightly crazy songs, with their cumbia rhythms and psychedelic arrangements. A version of Colombian tropicalism sometimes evoking the gentle madness of the Meridian Brothers, with whom he collaborated. Except that Mayorga plays this game solo, guitar slung over his shoulder, on tracks that are cobbled together, touching and funny.
