Initiated by Hubert Curien in 1991 and organised by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, the Fête de la science offers thousands of original and participatory events to all publics without discrimination, in France and abroad.
The Fête de la science is an opportunity to raise public awareness of science and its challenges, to encourage the sharing of knowledge between researchers and citizens, to promote the work of the scientific community, and to encourage young people to take up science.
During this event, thousands of scientists, teachers, cultural mediators and librarians share their enthusiasm and curiosity for science, technology and innovation with the public through a wide range of workshops, conferences, games, tours, festivals, live shows and visits to laboratories and natural and industrial sites.
A not-to-be-missed autumn event, the Fête de la science will take place this year from 6 to 16 October in mainland France.
