The carnival of life
"To dance is to fight against everything that holds you back, everything that burdens you, everything that weighs you down. It means coming into physical contact with freedom". Jean-Louis Barrault
An orchestra, ball conductors, puppeteers and a host of dancers...
130 puppets and puppeteering objects wait quietly on racks, on either side of the dance floor... castanets, dentures, hats, masks, human-sized puppets with long, colourful skirts. Which rider will you choose? Do you prefer carnival or Dia de los muertos? Here, there is no audience, no actor, no spectator, no organiser, just a crowd welcomed to the ball to give life to a multitude of inanimate beings.
Let us be carried away. Together, let's learn to create beauty... Let's find our centre of gravity, let's revise the grammar of manipulation... let's dance. At the end of this grand choreography, we'll be hard pressed to say whether the human or the puppet led the way.
