Le poids des fourmis

The state of the world weighs heavily on Jeanne and Olivier, who go to a school that has been awarded a "crap medal" in the country's school league table. But now an election, orchestrated by an unmotivated headmaster, is being organised as part of Future Week. Catalysed by the hope that they can make a difference, the two go head-to-head in an election campaign conducted against a backdrop of fiery speeches and ninja expeditions.
At once a hallucinatory political satire and an x-ray of our collective anxieties, The Weight of Ants oscillates with humour and ferocity between two points of tension: the desire for change and the difficulty of achieving it. It's also a call for solidarity. Mutual aid is contagious!

"David Paquet never ceases to surprise us. [...] A rough and ready comedy. Marie-Claire Girard, Théâtre Cambresis
"A gamble that paid off handsomely. [...] Philippe Cyr's direction is a delight of humour and finesse. Michelle Chanonat, JEU, theatre review
"A stunning quartet of actors [...] To be enjoyed without restraint with friends or family. Tania Bélanger, ARP Média
