L’eau douce

Water, troubled and double, fascinates Nathalie Pernette. At once dark and limpid, gentle and furious, joyful and dark, inhabited by fantastic beings both real and imaginary... it is an inexhaustible source of inspiration for the choreographer, who after La mémoire de l'eau, a piece for all audiences performed in swimming pools, has now created a counterpart for very young children.
In L'eau douce, she first conceived a choreographic reverie, delving into the strange, light and playful side of water. It is also a journey of dancing bodies and wandering imaginations. Its journey takes in different states of water, from ice to snow, from mist to evaporation.
Playing on its different aspects, L'eau douce captures the changing, unpredictable mood of water, the better to 'taste' it, and (who knows?) inspire us to take care of it...
