Les Haut Plateaux is a circus show that gives pride of place to the poetry of bodies and balance: a virtuoso production and images of hypnotic beauty that speak of the fragility of man and his relationship with the world.
As an accomplished contemporary circus artist, Mathurin Bolze brings together the art of the circus and the awareness of ruins. Trampolines, inclined platforms, moving floors and ladders create a labyrinthine space, punctuated by perpetual metamorphoses, where bodies evolve, fly, climb or bounce, confronting the images of a world of ever more fragile beauty. With a sound creation by Camel Zekri and Jérôme Fèvre, Les hauts plateaux intends to build despite the destruction, to bet on meaning and beauty, and to aim for that point of acrobatic demand where prowess is accomplished in pure poetry. It is a formidable thumbing of the nose at the times, and a pure moment of grace in weightlessness.
