"As you may have noticed, the name of the festival has been expanded for this 23rd edition. This change is designed to better reflect the diversity of our city, which is open to cultural influences from beyond the East.
Nuits d'Orient et d'ailleurs is much more than just an arts festival. It's a bridge between cultures, a meeting place for East and West, a space for exchange and open-mindedness. It embodies the idea that diversity is richness, and that our city is a melting pot of cultures, talents and traditions.
And let's not forget that this event is also a stage for highlighting the suffering and distress of those who face the roads of exile.
Once again this year, Nuits d'Orient et d'ailleurs promises an exceptional artistic programme, from dance performances to art exhibitions, spellbinding concerts and interactive workshops. Over the years, I've been delighted to see the high quality of the artistic offerings and the ongoing commitment of the local residents who co-organise some of the events.
