Monte-Cristo

The story of The Count of Monte Cristo, a novel by Alexandre Dumas, takes place at the beginning of the reign of Louis XVIII, in 1815. While Napoleon leaves Elba, Edmond Dantes, a young nineteen-year-old sailor, lands in Marseille to become engaged to the beautiful Mercédès. Betrayed by those he thought were his friends, denounced as a conspirator, he is locked up without further trial in the Château d'If and condemned to oblivion. But a fellow prisoner, Abbot Faria, entrusts him with a secret which, once he has escaped, will enable him to become the Count of Monte Cristo and methodically carry out his revenge.
Nicolas Bonneau and Fannytastic, already welcomed at the Théâtre des Feuillants with Ali 74, le combat du siècle and Looking for Alceste, are accompanied by musician Mathias Castagné. Together, with the help of projected images and their respective languages, oral or musical, they tell this great epic novel, this popular soap opera made of suspense, adventure and treasure hunt...
