Musicales de Fontaine ” Opéra voyageur made in France”

Scène Fontainoise, in partnership with the town of Fontaine-lès-Dijon, invites you to its first concert of 2024: a concert-show with the travelling opera "Made in France" on Thursday 18 January at 8pm at the Centre d'Animation Pierre Jacques.
Belinda Kunz, mezzo-soprano, and Valentin Mansard, piano, will take you on a lyrical, musical and poetic tour of the "Made in France" repertoire, from the great century to the present day, spanning periods and styles...

Full of humour and curiosity, unearthing rare gems alongside the great classics enshrined in our collective memory (Lully, Gluck, Gounod, Berlioz, Debussy, Ravel), the two performers also go looking for the French repertoire where we least expect it, and have a few surprises in store for you around Racine, Victor Hugo, Baudelaire, Prévert, Kosma, Trenet...

Belinda Kunz, mezzo-soprano
Born into a family of musicians, after studying literature at the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Lyon, the Franco-German-Swiss mezzo-soprano Belinda Kunz studied singing with Ivan Geissler, Raina Kabaivanska, Evelyne Brunner and Carlos Chausson. She has performed numerous operatic roles on stage (Dido, Cherubino, Dorabella, etc.) and in concert, as alto soloist in Dvorak's Stabat Mater and Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle. She regularly gives recitals of the Mélodie and Lied repertoire with pianists Jean-Dominique Burroni and Valentin Mansard.


Valentin Mansard, piano
Valentin trained with Amy Lin at the Académie Supérieure de Musique de Strasbourg. Renowned for his great sensitivity and colourful sound, this promising young pianist won the 'Jeune espoir' prize at the 17th Brest Chopin Competition and made his solo debut in 2014 with the Philharmonic Orchestra.

Since 2015, Valentin has been a teacher and accompanist at the Académie supérieure de musique and the Conservatoire de Strasbourg.
