Oz

Oz begins in a department store. We have left the 20th century behind us and the cult song Over the Rainbow has become background music in the icy world of consumerism.
Dorothy and her father are arguing over a pair of shoes. The argument escalates, rumbles, erupts and storms so loudly that Dorothy faints and wakes up in another world, populated by cuddly toys. She has to find her own way, but which road should she take?
In Am Stram Gram's show we'll have yellow (to follow the brick road), a witch, a scarecrow (transformed into a security guard), a tin woodsman (a bit of a butcher's boy), a lion (a rude boss) and a magician (whom you'll discover), but if our steps take us down the road of musical comedy it's above all the initiatory journey that we'll remember, in the form of question marks: How do we cope with the ordeal of lack and absence?
