Dijon is celebrating Saint-Vincent with a series of conferences for the general public and a unique tasting village.
To mark the 10th anniversary of the Climats du Vignoble de Bourgogne being listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2025, the Saint-Vincent de Dijon association, still chaired by its founder Pierre Derey, wanted to propose a project that would encourage exchanges with the general public by setting up a gathering of winegrowers in the Monge/Saint-Philibert district, where the wine market once stood, and which since the Middle Ages has been the glory of the city's wine industry.
In addition to the mass and the traditional parade, the event will take place in Place Bossuet on Saturday 8 February from 10am to 5pm with a village of activities, including a Climats educational stand and the participation of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV), which will open its doors to researchers, lecturers and historians. The programme will be both solid and liquid, with a host of tastings featuring winegrowers from Bourgogne-Dijon, neighbouring Caveau Le Marsannay, the Université de Bourgogne estate and wines from the Hospital de Dijon.
PROGRAMME :
9:30 am: departure of the parade from the Cour de Bar, near the former coach house of the Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy, to the Place Bossuet, in the presence of numerous brotherhoods and with music provided by the flok group La Bourguignonne and the Harmonie de Marsannay.
