Une Maison de Poupée

Fragile as a bird
"Helmer: You are first and foremost a wife and mother.
Nora: I don't believe that any more. I believe that I am first and foremost a human being, just like you... "

Henrik Ibsen's famous play A Doll's House is set in Norway in 1879, shortly before Christmas. In the confines of her home, Nora Helmer, a middle-class housewife and mother of three, is confronted with the consequences of an illegal loan taken out to save her husband Thorvald's life. Despite her best efforts to keep it a secret, Thorvald discovers the truth and their seemingly perfect relationship falls apart.
The Franco-Norwegian company Plexus Polaire, who recently transported us with a Moby Dick that toured the world, will continue to wreak havoc between actors and puppets, illusion and reality.
And we'll have the pleasure of welcoming Yngvild Aspeli back to the stage, as actress and puppeteer. A meeting point for women of different ages and backgrounds, Une maison de poupée is also set to feature a women's choir.
and involve a Dijon choir in this series of performances.
