VIVALDI Le Vénitien – concert lyrique flûte-chant-piano-violon

As part of the city of Dijon's 2025 cultural programme "Notre été à Dijon", ClairObscur-Lyrique presents "Vivaldi Le Vénitien", a flute-chant-piano-violin concert with Sylvie Monot (mezzo-soprano and storyteller), Caroline Schmid (pianist and composer), Mathilde Groffier (flutist) and Matthieu Cardes (violinist).
"Vivaldi the Venetian' is an invitation to travel through the exalted world of Vivaldi the Venetian, through secular cantatas, opera excerpts and concertos.
Vitality, dynamism and intense gaiety emanate from this world of shimmering carnival colours. Let the crowd of a thousand colours and a thousand scents carry you along the canals of the Serenissima, following in the footsteps of the "Prete rosso", whose memory still hangs over the Italian city. From operatic arias to spirited cantatas, this music, with its sparkling clarity and powerful flights of fancy, tells us of fallen loves, wounded hearts and painful laments...
The music sails across raging oceans, where the storm suddenly gives way to the calm and tranquillity of a maternal rocking.
A story is woven into the fabric of this colourful repertoire: the story of a Venetian violin-maker.
"A violin tune escapes from the church of the Pietà, the ecstatic hive where Vivaldi made his honey with notes. Mars Alyn
