A summer programme of celebrations
Because you have no intention of being bored on holiday, Dijon town council has put together an events programme you definitely won’t want to miss! Whether you’re a local resident or just visiting, you’ll find daily activities and cultural events to fill your diary.
Of course there are the festivals where jazz takes pride of place: at Darcy park in July, and on the beach of Lake Kir in August. “Lalabib” is still the must-do musical event of the autumn, with live performances on 10 stages and audiences in their thousands…
Special summer (re)discovery tours of Dijon
Make the most of summer to enjoy an alternative tour of Dijon, specially organised by the tourist office. With our highly popular Drinks at the Tower and alternative guided tours, not forgetting the “Wine Thursdays”, there’s plenty for you to add to your diary!
The hot summer days provide an opportunity, every Tuesday evening, to admire the city after dusk in the company of a tourist office guide. At night, the city centre reveals the lit-up safeguarded sector at its most beautiful.
Main summer highlights
Even in Dijon, summer events take place at the beach! Laze in the sun by Lake Kir, transformed into a beach resort complete with deckchairs and parasols.
On Sundays, treat yourself to “Brunch at Les Halles” in Dijon’s market halls. Every week, food lovers can enjoy a different menu put together by a top local chef.
And if you enjoy lingering on the terrace on summer evenings, then you’ll love Garçon, la note” (Waiter, the bill please!), a summer-long festival of 30 free concerts in the city centre!
