Yesterday afternoon, I took part in the Photo tour, organised by Dijon Métropole Tourist Office. I am a fan of photography and found this tour intriguing, so I decided to give this new experience a try, along with two friends.
I was with a group of 8 people and a professional photographer: Frédéric. Don’t panic, you don’t need to have a camera with you for this tour, a smartphone will do! But if you do have your own equipment, don’t hesitate to bring it along.
The photographer took us on a tour of the historic centre of Dijon, past all the iconic places to take some great photos and either discover new talents or improve on our existing skills in photography.
The key: look around you and be aware of your surroundings. The photographer told us this repeatedly during the workshop!
Whether we were beginners or already had some photography skills, Frédéric took the time to answer our questions. The workshop flew by, we had a lot of fun, because we were really actively involved in the tour and we were all very enthusiastic about taking some great photos. It was very fulfilling.
This experience was really interesting and rewarding. We were lucky to spend time with a professional who gave us some valuable advice, and made us want to learn more.
At the end of the workshop, the photographer encouraged us to post our photos on our Instagram accounts (for those who have one), with the hashtag #myDijon and to tag the Tourist Office so they could see our superb photos and maybe even share them on their own account! 🙂
