Le mythe de la différence

The exhibition is based on the idea of representing the "Non-differences" between France and Germany, and their existences on the same ground, the same historical background, without value judgement, in an objective way, from a series of photographs.

This idea will be illustrated by black and white photographs by the German artist and photographer Marc Köschinger. The works show shots that allow us to perceive the atmosphere of places, buildings and spaces that seem to be out of time.

They are not, however, directly submitted to the observer. This creates a situation in which the observer may be surprised to find that it is not so easy to associate the scenes photographed with one or other of the two countries (text: CCFA de Nice)

Marc Köschinger is a graphic designer, photographer and designer in the commercial field for companies, cultural institutions and artists.

For more than 10 years, Marc Köschinger has also been teaching at the University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, the Åbo Akademi, a Finnish university in Turku, as well as at various national and private schools of journalism.
