Akzak is conceived as a return to the essential, based on a choral choreographic score that brings together twelve dancers in dialogue with a musical composition created and performed by the virtuoso musician and percussionist Xavier Desandre Navarre.
This latest creation by Héla Fattoumi and Eric Lamoureux, directors of the Centre Chorégraphique National de Bourgogne-Franche-Comté located in Belfort, continues to inscribe the career of these two talented choreographers in a dialogue with emerging structures in contemporary dance, between the North and the South. Here, the women and men performers are French for some, if not from the African continent: Burkina Faso, Morocco, Tunisia. Together, they form a block of intertwined singularities. The individual energies participate in the creation of a collective energy made up of states of body that interact, get carried away, overflow from oneself to summon notions of sharing and fraternity.
