Loup Uberto operates in the vast international circle of improvised music and singular phonic experiences. Oscillating on the borders of documentary craftsmanship, photography, installation and performance, he carries out vast sonic and literary cartographies; Cuban "raw" music, East European travel diaries, Kurdish songs from Syria, struggles and mystics from the Tunisian mining basin, Italian songs of work and gesture...
After a week's residency at Au Maquis, Loup Uberto offers an improvised concert for aberrant objects, a listening session of popular and mystical songs of the Sidi Abid tribe and Italian workers' repertoires. He will also present a series of silver photographs based on his peregrinations between the mining basin of southern Tunisia and the Italian Easter ceremonies.
