Exposition photos d’Eric Tourneret à la Miellerie

The exhibition is called "Bees, honey and people" and is divided into two sections:

The first section, entitled "The genius of bees", highlights the intelligence of bees. Here you can learn about the communication that takes place at the centre of a vast network of bees, as well as discovering their surprising cognitive abilities.
The second tour, entitled "The Honey Routes", highlights the harvesting methods used around the world, from the most industrial to the most traditional.

Information on Éric Tourneret:

A photographer by trade and passion since 1989, Éric Tourneret is now known the world over as the photographer of bees. Having spent his entire childhood near Annecy, Éric was made aware of the beauty of the world around him from an early age. It was at the age of 17 that he discovered photography in detail through the world of fashion and advertising.

In 2004, he explored new horizons and took an interest in beekeeping. His photographs were noticed and exhibited in 2006 at the Orangerie du Sénat. A first book was also published: "Le peuple des abeilles".
Éric continued his travels, diving into the heart of beehives around the world. The wealth of his discoveries enabled him to share his passion with a wide audience through his 2nd book, "Cueilleurs de miel".
Eager to discover new things, the photographer explored new countries such as Slovenia, Ethiopia and the Republic of Congo. This 8-year journey enabled him to publish "Honey Routes" in 2015 and "The Genius of Bees" in 2017.
