To celebrate the snail and the flavours of Burgundy in style, the Fête de l'Escargot in Chevigny-Saint-Sauveur features a gourmet and craft village over two days: champagne, blackcurrants, wine, beer, pies, honey, mustard, meat, charcuterie, farm produce, etc. A whole host of culinary and gastronomic specialities from the Burgundy Franche-Comté region are on show!
The snails are not to be outdone, as tastings are usually part of the programme, in the presence of the Confrérie de l'Escargot, which inducts new members during the festival. You can also meet the event's mascot, Gaston the snail.
This event in Chevigny-Saint-Sauveur is organised by the town in partnership with the Chevigny pour tous association.
