Le Chat du Rabbin

Thanks to the Frivolités Parisiennes orchestra, the funny adventures of the irreverent cat who has acquired the use of speech to better question the world become a musical tale full of philosophy and humour.

Twenty years after the publication of Joann Sfar's first album, Le Chat du Rabbin is back on stage! This cat, in love with his mistress Zlabya, has the gift of speech after eating a parrot. Impertinent by choice, philosophical by nature, he is the feline mirror of man and possesses the supreme freedom to question social or religious dogmas, to wonder about his place in the world, his relationship with others... and to love madly! In this adaptation by Pascal Neyron, with the complicity of Oldelaf, the comic strip comes to life in lively, colourful scenes, exulting in an original musical score by Matthieu Michard, featuring a dialogue of French songs and Algerian rhythms.
