Musicales en Folie ” De Beethoven à Ravel, la musique de deux siècles”

Scène Fontainoise, in partnership with the town of Fontaine-lès-Dijon, invites you to the 11th edition of "Musicales en Folie" on 5-6 and 7 April 2024 at the Centre d'Animation Pierre Jacques.
This festival will give you the chance to hear masterpieces from the 19th and 20th centuries performed by some of our best-loved musicians and new ensembles, not forgetting the Ensemble Orchestral de Dijon (one of the main architects of the success of the Folies) and the Orchestre Dijon Bourgogne (an ensemble associated with the Dijon Opera).

Friday 5th April
- 5.30pm: Opening / Jazz concert (free admission)
- 8pm: *Piano recital by Anne Queffélec, our patron
Beethoven: The last two sonatas Opus 110 and 111
*Symphonic concert by the EOD conducted by Flavien Boy
Saint-Saëns: Piano Concerto No.2 in G minor Op.22 by Gaspard Dehaene

Saturday 6th April
- 11am: Concert by students from the Conservatoire (Free admission)
Wind bands "Contes et légendes" (Tales and legends)
- 2pm: Piano recital by Eve-Melody Salom.
- Mussorgsky: Pictures at an Exhibition piano version
- Ravel: Pavane for a Dead Infanta
- Borodin: On the steppes of Central Asia
- 4 pm: Trio Alezan, violin, cello, piano.
- Beethoven: Trio "The Spirits" in D major Op.70
- Mendelssohn: Trio No.1 in D minor Op.49
- 8pm: Symphonic concert by the EOD
Brahms: Symphony No.2 in D major, Op.73

Sunday 7 April
- 11am: Family concert by the Orchestre Dijon Bourgogne: an ensemble associated with the Dijon Opéra
- Pieces for two pianos (Ravel-Bizet-Poulenc-Saint-Saëns)
- Saint-Saëns : Le carnaval des animaux
- 2.30pm: Concert for two pianos by the "Arlecchino" duo (Debussy - Ravel - Saint-Saëns - Poulenc -Piazzolla)
- 4.30pm: Symphonic concert by the Ensemble Orchestral de Dijon
- Beethoven: Violin Concerto in D major Op.61 by Nathan Mierdl
- Mussorgsky: Pictures at an Exhibition (orchestration by Ravel)
