The tribe festival is back for its 21st year!
For the first time, it will be taking place in the Apothecaries' Garden, located behind the Musée de la Vie Bourguignonne in Dijon.
This week of festivities kicks off at the Eldorado cinema on Monday 28 September at 8pm.
Film is a weapon: an evening screening of films by the Medvedkine groups.
The Medvedkine groups were formed in Besançon-Sochaux at the time of the trade union struggles at Peugeot and Rhodiacéta. The workers seized the tools of the cinema after meeting directors such as Chris Marker, Jean-Luc Godard and René Vautier. Together, they made some fifteen films with a great deal of freedom and energy!
This evening screening echoes the La Peuge en Mai concert on Thursday 1 October.
Full price €8, concessions €6.50. Cinéma Eldorado 21 rue Alfred de Musset, Dijon
NOSAX NOCLAR
On Tuesday 29 September, head to the Jardin des Apothicaires at 6pm for a free concert by NoSax NoClar!
A saxophonist and a clarinettist inspired by the sounds of the Mediterranean Basin and the Nordic countries will take us on a journey through luminous, dreamlike music, with occasional hints of the roughness of free jazz and the alchemy of bop. Jardin des apothicaires, rue de Tivoli, Dijon
Following this first concert, we'll be heading to Le Cèdre to meet Alain Damasio and Yan Péchin for their show 'Entrer dans la couleur'.
Alain Damasio is a cult science fiction writer and Yan Péchin a key guitarist who has accompanied the likes of Rachid Taha, Brigitte Fontaine and Alain Bashung.
On stage, the writer will be reading from his futuristic novel Les Furtifs, accompanied by Yan Péchin's rock music.
Le Cèdre, Chenôve, 8pm, 9 esplanade de la république, Chenôve.
Full price €15, concessions €12, carte culture €5.50
For the 3rd day of the festival, Wednesday 30 September will be at the Jardin des Apothicaires.
First concert at 6pm with Cocanha: a polyphonic singing and dancing duo. These two women from Toulouse build a solid polyphony backed by strong percussion, singing loud and clear in the Occitan language. Hands and feet clap to the sounds of traditional rhythms, inviting us to dance!
After Cocanha's invitation to make us dance, the group AUSGANG will awaken our inner anger! The acerbic rhymes and angry flow of rapper Casey rub shoulders with the scansion of a rock rap. A concentrate of darkness and rage, heralding an incandescent concert!
Both concerts are available at the full price of €8 and €5.50 with the carte culture.
Jardin des apothicaires, rue de Tivoli, Dijon
Thursday 1 October: jazz-tinged evening from 6pm with Qonicho D.
A trio of musicians who combine three pairs of totally liberated jazz ears with punk energy!
Second concert of the evening: La Peuge en Mai
The brainchild of Geoffroy Gesser, a saxophonist from Montbéliard and member of the prolific Coax collective of artists from the Paris region, this show links the workers' struggles of spring 1968 with the sounds of today's musician-improvisers. The music moves between jazz, noise and electronica in a radio creation that is both documentary and poetic in its power.
Both concerts are available at the full price of €8 and €5.50 with the carte culture.

On Friday 2 October, for the fifth evening: it's all about Africa and urban music!
Mina & Bryte will open the dancefloor. Ghanaian rapper Bryte took his first steps in music in the Abeka district of Accra. Now he's teamed up with London-based producer Mina to bring us an exuberant, energetic show, somewhere between grime and dancehall. Let's dance!
Once you've done your legwork on Mina & Bryte's dancehall, don't lose your rhythm with the group Ti'Kaniki!
Ti'kaniki is a collective from Lyon, half of whom are from Réunion and the other half from Metropolitan France. They all share a passion for maloya, the traditional music of Réunion. Maloya has its origins in the island's complex and often painful history - the product of slavery, it was long confined to clandestine celebrations where slaves asserted their desire for independence. The French colonial authorities even went so far as to ban maloya in the late 50s, hoping to curb the Reunionese people's aspirations for independence. It wasn't until the 1970s that maloya became a symbol of national expression, and in 2009 it was declared a World Heritage Site.
These two concerts are available at the full price of €8 and €5.50 with the culture card.
Jardin des apothicaires, rue de Tivoli, Dijon
Saturday 3 October, the last day at the Jardin des Apothicaires!
We'll kick off the evening with regional band Slopidjo. A clever jumble of string instruments! Jean Gaudy's random cello and Matthieu Jacot's spasmodic guitar rub shoulders with a whole motley crew. The ambience of a hotel room, the voice of a black poetess, the ramshackle sounds of an old 4L or a few notes of Ornette Coleman... Slopidjo borrows, cuts and pastes, assembles, shapes and builds inspired music, pieces of life, of pleasure, of unusual, generous moments...
Second show of the evening: JAMES THE PROPHET & PAB THE KID
Two young rappers born in the year 2000 and certainly the rising stars of today's rap scene! Produced by the famous beatmaker Vladimir Cauchemar, these English-speaking MCs have grasped the codes of this musical universe. With their hard-hitting raps and polished productions, nothing is left to chance!
To round off the evening in style, stretch out on the grass and gaze up at the stars with Von Pourquery and his comical pop.
Since winning the Victoires du Jazz in 2014 and 2017, he has become one of the most sought-after musicians on the European scene. Between acoustic and electronic, at the crossroads of pop, folk and soul, Von Pourquery's songs explore this cosmic space, sophisticated, sensual and solar. See you under the stars!
All three concerts are priced at €8 (full price) and €5.50 with the culture card.
Jardin des apothicaires, rue de Tivoli, Dijon
And now it's the last day of the Tribu Festival!
Head to Quetigny for a festive afternoon with Ze Tribu Brass Band.
The supercharged brass band will be celebrating its 10th anniversary in the Place Centrale with a free concert. Accompanied this year by drummer and vibraphonist Touski, the brass band is back in force with a repertoire enriched by new, fast-paced tunes!
The final concert is at 5pm, when the jazz quintet Papanosh meet up with volca'chimiste André Minvielle to perform Prévert's poems. Their show Prévert Parade is a beautiful tribute to the poet that makes us want to dance and re-imagine this world that really doesn't go round!
At the Salle Mendès France, 8 rue des Vergers, Quetigny
Full price €15, concessions €12 and €5.50 with the culture card.
