For this autumn's Presentation of Art®, Galerie Le Trigram presents the work of a visual artist from the Dijon area.
Christine Delbecq is a graduate of the Beaux-arts de Mâcon, with a degree in art history from Lyon 2 and in plastic arts from Paris Saint-Charles. She worked as an assistant to Josef and Paulette Ciesla, textile sculptors.
The Galerie LE TRIGRAM team has worked with her back in time, selecting and assembling works in a variety of formats and media that have never before been exhibited, but which underpin all her major installations.
They show how the line, a strong presence, has run through her work over the last thirty years, transforming itself as it goes, how she is fascinated by the transition from flat to volume, by what becomes - starting from almost nothing - and how we have illuminated the coherence of these diverse fragments.
