Besançon, 1973. The collective workers' adventure of self-management at the LIP watch factory left its mark on the whole of France. Three committed young women take us back through this very special year. They tell the story of LIP, but also sing, dance and celebrate it, in the style of the Berlin cabaret of the 1930s, the kind that criticises, questions and shakes things up, between lipstick and high heels. A table, three chairs, actresses in black gloves and shaded eyes, a few overalls and a few words... to make the memory and hope of the struggles sparkle. L'oCCasion is first and foremost an actress-creator, Céline Chatelain, who wants to work on her own projects. Very quickly, artists, technicians and an administrator joined the team... and then a new project proposed by young artists: Cabaret LIP. Initially working alongside them, the company then reshaped itself to take on the appearance of a boat sailed by six people. Le Cabaret LIP was a great success at the Chalon dans la rue 2023 festival.
"A sparkling trio of feminists and transformers take us through the legendary story of the Lip watchmaking workers' struggle. To keep on playing, and to get the factory up and running again: nothing is impossible with a strong body! Les Trois Coups.
